One time, she had heard the servant, who was cleaning up, talking to someone about a wizard, who could control the Gu, living outside the town in the Dense Misty Forest. As long as he was given money, he would sell the Gu.
*Gu – legendary venomous insect/ worm
Li Yuan Bao did not have much money but she had some gold and silver jewelry. She packed all her jewelry inside the wrapping cloth. She wanted to buy two Gu, one for her father, so that he would not be so biased, and the other for the Shen Family’s noble son…
In the future, she could then live out her days with him happily.
